Day 21!

Just puttin’ this here.

Remember, it’s CONFLICT that drives everything in a novel. Be sure your h/h are brave enough to face the monster and solve the mystery, but vulnerable enough for the stakes of losing to be intolerably high. And, above all, make sure they WANT their goal more than anything.

How’s it going today?

Hi everyone. So sorry I missed the Festival this year. For some reason I’ve stopped getting the Newsletter (I’ve re-subscribed now) and so missed the dates. I’m currently working on a new novel having completed my trilogy (the last of which I was editing on the WWF. I am also putting the finishing touches to a short story. I used to love the sprints and hopefully I might be able to take part again next year. Good luck everyone!_

  2. You hit one of my weaknesses with this–I hate torturing my characters and want to rescue them! But maybe your cartoon will help me avoid this. 🙂

      I know! Isn’t it terrible!!!!

Even as a reader, I always want to rescue the characters from trouble…but, of course, if they don’t GET in trouble in the first place, I don’t even get started caring about them.
