As we keep saying in the sprints, “WOW, THAT WENT FAST!!!”
It’s been a fabulous Festival, and I’ve loved getting to know lots of new folks and having the collective good energy for getting writing done.
Please join us over at rubyslipperedsisterhood.com today for the Closing Ceremonies–and our last round of fabulous prizes!!
Best of luck to you all for keeping the writing momentum going full-steam!!
Many thanks Elisa!!
You’ve brightened each day by posting the Brag Blog!
It was wonderful fun sprinting with you!

Patti
Thanks so much, Patti! Great sprinting with you, too!
Even during my extended times with sporatic Internet, I knew you were here. Due to circumstances, I only made it to 42 points, but that is more than I would have done without the winter festival. (And my husband appreciated that going out with him one night a week was one of my goals.) Thank you for being here. I leave, swagless but happy to have been part of the winter festival. See you next year! Teresa
As I keep saying, making writing progress is the REAL goal, and it sounds like you got that covered!!
Thanks so much for joining us!
So sorry to see it end. Better this year than last, and will only improve with time, I’m sure. You did a stellar job, Elisa, as always. It’s much appreciated.
Thanks, Gwynlyn! Thanks for the sprint hosting! That’s definitely the very best part of the Festival!
Many thanks Elisa, to you and all the Rubies who have helped, encouraged and occasionally cajoled us to even greater efforts.
I made my 50 points by the skin of my teeth, although I’ve been pretty mean with the awarding of points, since although I had other projects, making a dent in my revisions was the primary goal, and thanks to TWWF I think I’ve got the toughest chapters in the bag now!
I can’t believe it’s over, I wish it could go on all year, but perhaps if promises of keeping the chat room open mateialise we can all get together again from time to time for mutual encouragement.
(Oh and thanks to the ‘Swag giveaways I have a couple of great new books to read.)
Many thanks again
Lyn
Awesome on all counts, Lyn!!!
I’m really determined to keep sprints going this time! They’ve been invaluable for me, and I don’t want to give them up either!
Thanks for all your encouragement. I’m at 49 points. I’m not going to turn in until I hit 50. I suppose I should feed my family, though.
Woo-hoo, Kristina! You can do it!
I need to go earn my last point too….
Didn’t think I’d make it. Had kid crisis and needed to deal with homework issues.
But I did it. With 30 minutes to spare. I could keep going, but I have a parent teacher conference tomorrow, so I should get some sleep.
Woo-hoo!!! You DID IT!!!
Well, I didn’t quite make the personal goal I set for myself. I wanted to achieve 50K, but only made it to 40K, but I did pretty well at accomplishing 1000 words per day. I started about 18 days late… I think, but in the 32 days remaining, I managed 30,000 words for my current MS. And I wrote several short pieces of flash. I’m feeling pretty good now actually, and completely amazed, that’s freaking awesome!! We’ve had flu and pink eye all in one month, so I’m going to pat myself on the back anyway. Thanks for some great fun!! (and I will complete my manuscript in the next couple of days).
Dottie
Wow, Dottie!! That’s an amazing accomplishment, especially starting late and with all the household hullaballoo!
Definitely pat yourself on the back…and do some happy dancing!
The pieces of flash I wrote more than make up for the 2000 words I came up short on my MS, it turned out to be a pretty good writing time for me.
Thanks again!
Dottie
Congrats!
