Day Thirty, and I’m Really Serious About Getting You Into Those Sprints!!!

Hard to believe it’s been a full thirty days!!

During yesterday’s check-in, I kept exhorting people to join in on the sprints, and I thought I ought to do it again right here.

The sprints are fabulous and energizing, and you’ll get more done in each twenty-minute writing period than you can possibly imagine. There’s something about the camaraderie in the chat rooms–the support, the advice, the silliness–that gets the muse dancing.

So if you haven’t been in the sprints yet, scroll up this page til you see the bright blue box. The daily sprint schedule is posted there, and all you need to do to join in is pick a time that works for you and thenĀ  click on the “chat room” link at the top of the box. You’ll be taken to a screen where you give yourself a nickname for the chat. Enter that name, and you’ll pop right in to a room full of writers and their dancing muses.

There’s nothing better, folks! Take advantage while you can!

Beyond that…how’s everybody doing today?

Completely agree! Doesn’t matter if you “know” a soul there; very friendly and supportive. It’s a wonderful way to make progress and celebrate that progress with a group who gets it!

It’s really true–there’s no need to be shy!

Even if you’ve never been in the chat room before, everyone will give a quick cheery hello and then welcome you right into the sprint. The more the merrier!!

At least in the sprints I’ve taken part in, it’s usually between about four and ten people, so it’s not overwhelming, either–just friendly. You can participate in the chat part as much (or as little) as you feel comfortable….but I think you’ll see the ice melts very fast.

You can also make a date with a friend to show up in the chat room at the same time you do. That way you’ll know you know somebody.
