Day Twenty-Six, and a Halftime Pep-Talk
Posted by Elisa Beatty Feb 5 2012, 12:01 am
In honor of today’s Super Bowl (and the fact that we’re embarking on the second half of the Winter Writing Festival!), I thought I’d give a little half-time pep-talk.
So here goes: some of you have gained serious yardage already: keep that up! Some of you may have given up some ground in the first half, but play the game the way you know how to play it, buckle down and make the big plays, and don’t be afraid to tackle!!! Keep your eye on the ball, trust your teammates, and you’ll be doing your end-zone celebration dance before you know it! GO, TEAM!!!
Hope that helped.
Now go have some half-time nachos and get back to your keyboards!
How’s everybody doing today?
Fed Hubble a good meal (he said thank you so many times, I think I actually blushed), and put him in front of the idiot box. Now, while he’s fully occupied, I have time to get some work done. WOOOT!
The best thing about the Super Bowl!
Hey Elisa,
Thanks again to you and Tammy today. I love sprinting! And the fact that the Giants won the Super Bowl.
That *was* an awesome sprint!!
And it will tell you how closely I follow football that my first response to your message about the Giants was, “Really? I didn’t know San Francisco was even IN the Super Bowl this year!”
Yup. I’m that good.
Just to save other people the trouble of pointing it out, I did remember a moment later that the *football* Giants are from NY.
