It’s Day Six!

By the end of today, you can have a full SEVEN points (including the bonus point from day one).  It’s Saturday, so for some of us this is our Designated Day Off to Recharge.  For others, it’s Catch-Up Day, and we’re writing like demons on meth.

Word about the Festival is still spreading. If you’ve got friends asking if they can join late, tell them YES YES YES.  Remember, everyone gets to determine what they need to do to earn a point.  People can award themselves a point for saying “Dang, I wish I’d known about the WWF earlier!!” (Repeat as necessary to make up for missed days.)

This is all about supporting each other, and helping as many authors as possible stay productive through the bleak midwinter!

  1. What I love about the group here is the warmth, the support, the flexibility and generosity that comes with being a part of this sisterhood/Writing Festival. Hugs to all–wishing you a productive/great weekend!

I had my monthly MERWA meeting today and planned to skiping my writing today, but then I tought NO! I’ll leave a little early and write. That was my sign that this festival was really working for me, because in the past I would’ve just been Oh Well! So all I can say is Woo Hoo, I meet my word goal today.

  3. Elisa Beatty says:

    Thanks, Marian! and HOORAY, Emily!!

  4. CarolRose says:

Despite the MCRW meeting and other things to do, I met my goal today! :)

I’m with Carol Rose. I had a meeting to preside over today, as well as a birthday party to attend. I really didn’t think I’d be able to write today. But I did it. I met my goal!

    YAY! for US!!!!

Just finished earning my point for today. I wrote 520 words. I’m also having a great time reading what I’ve written and noting what’s too much, what needs reorganizing, what information or phrases have been repeated and need to be cut. This festival has been fabulous.. And it’s only the first week! Woohoo.

  7. Kelli Scott says:

I’m a day behind, but I’m sure I can turn it all around.

  8. Elisa Beatty says:

Absolutely, Kelli! That’s what three-day weekends are made for!

  9. Demons on meth. LOL! The fact you used “meth” makes me love the Rubies even more! :)

Day 6 for me: 198 words on the first kiss scene–and, no, Kim, the scene didn’t turn out quite how I expected/plotted, so Pantser Win! ;) I also did one hour of revising/reading while at Panera today, eating an oh-so-yummy trail mix bagel.

I hope to make the Kim sprints tomorrow.
