Traditionally, the idea has been that how you act on the first day of the New Year will influence what happens all year: so do some serious writing today if you can!! (Okay, you’re also supposed to have your house spotless as a sign that all the detritus of the old year has been swept away….but that’s not happening around my place. It’s still good.) I have 15 points. That should tell you how clean my house isn’t.
Oh well, at least I don’t have to worry about cleaning up for a Super Bowl Party.
I’m actually feeling the progress despite the distraction of football. If I keep it up I just might finish this thing before baseball season starts.

Yesterday completely rocked! I had spent days on one scene, but once it was finally revised, I was able to blow through another 30 pages easily. What a huge relief.

I just hit 15 points. I’m very happy with my progress…but I think the husband and kiddo would like a little more attention. They’re really tired of my ‘just a sec’ responses lately.

Messy, messy, messy house right now. I did a new year’s resolution to do dishes. And I’m sticking to it (running the dishwasher every single night and emptying every morning regardless of whether it is “full”). But otherwise? I have two toddlers, I teach part-time, work online part-time, and write. Nothing gleams, but all is well loved.
I got my point today sprinting with the evening crowd. Was lovely!
