Day 26 – And Remember to Keep Your Balance!

Posted Feb 4 2019, 12:01 am

I keep repeating this basic idea: that the Winter Writing Festival is about pushing yourself to make progress, but also about learning how to make that progress while keeping the rest of your (busy / complicated / hectic) life in balance.

As we move into the second half of the Festival today (yes, folks! we’re only halfway through!), I hope you’re finding a rhythm that’s working for you.

Don’t beat yourself up over anything that hasn’t worked the way you planned…let that go. Guilt is never a useful emotion for writers.

Be clear-minded about what you do have going for you, and keep your focus on what’s working well.

And keep up that faith that you WILL get to where you need to be, if you just stick with it, and keep your balance.

How’s the writing going today?
